Oh my goodness! **Updated to include new friends!**

What a fantastic bunch of comments you guys left! I got to meet a bunch of wonderful new people and hear from some lovely old friends too! I'm afraid I'm awful at leaving comments myself. There are so many awesome spanko bloggers out there that usually I just plain old don't have time to leave comments. But I really do try when get the chance, and I always appreciate each and every comment I get on here. A big thanks to Bonnie for hosting this again this year! It's been a lot of fun, and I'm glad she came up with the concept. I'm going to respond to everyone here:

padme amidala, hi sweetie! It's always so good to hear from you, and I always love to read over at your place! You're one of my favorites too!

PK, I'm so glad to hear from you! I'm afraid I don't comment on yours as much as I'd like, but I'm always over there!

hermione, thank you! I can't take any credit for Bonnie - she's an amazing blogger! But I always swell up a bit when she's so generous with her compliments. I look forward to reading your blog!

Carye, hi sweetie! I'm always so glad to hear from you, and I'd love to email with you regularly!

Love Our Lurkers!!!

Pssst! You - over there! How about saying hi? You know you want to...

Come on, everybody here is really nice, and a bunch of us got to be friends just by saying hello. And of course you're welcome to just hang out here without introducing yourself - we're still very glad to have you. But we just loooove meeting new people, especially folks with an interest in This Thing We Do (or want to do, or fantasize about doing, or are just curious about).

Anyhoo, I just wanted to let you know that Bonnie and a bunch of the rest of us spanko bloggers would be thrilled to meet you, so please feel free to pop in and say hi!

Gratitude Tuesday

It's Tuesday again, and this post is to express my gratitude for...my vacation!

Yep, this week I'm off from work, and I'm fortunate that Nick's job is still (for now) on a 4 day on/5 day off shift, which means I have him from this past Sunday through Thursday. Yesterday was lovely. My mom picked Morgan up for school, and Nick and I got up and took off to spend the day together. We had breakfast together, then went to our local used book store. This store takes in used books for trade or cash and I got a bunch of new to me ones for the lovingly read ones I turned in. Then, best of all, I got about twice that many from the free bin! Some books they don't accept, whether because they're worn out, too old, or maybe the store just already has a surplus of that edition. Unless the trader wants their rejects back, the store puts them outside in one of three bins for people to look through and take what they want. Apparently I stepped out just after they had taken out a big load, and I got enough good books to do me for the next few months.

Later we went to Best Buy to have the Geek Squad take a look at my laptop. Lately the ac power cord hasn't been working all the time, but I wasn't sure if it was actually the cord or the port in the back of the laptop that was the problem. If it was the port I'd have to have it repaired, which would be covered by warranty, but I'd be without it for a couple of weeks. If it was the cord, I could just order a new one, but the cord is $70, and I was pretty sure it wouldn't be covered by the warranty.

I was pleasantly surprised by my experience. The Geek Squad guy was super nice, very professional, and not interested in trying to do more than I needed him to do (a big help on a very small budget). He plugged it up, turned it on and was able to quickly point out a small place on the cord that was the problem. Okay, awesome, so I didn't need to be without my computer for a couple of weeks. But what was really awesome was that later when I called the warranty department just to check, I found out that the cord is covered by warranty! I should have a new one by the beginning of next week.

We also stopped in at a local general store downtown that I'd wanted to visit for a long time. It was awesome! I loved everything in there. The prices were very reasonable, and I was able to pick out a few things to come back for later when I do my Christmas shopping. They even have this leather flyswatter for about $15 less that I found it for at Orvis.

We also stopped at a Cingular store and found out that we could get both of our phones repaired (long story) for about $50, much less than I'd anticipated being charged for one.

Today was a leisurely sort of day. We kept Morgan home with us and just kind of hung out. Tomorrow is Morgan's class trip to the pumpkin patch. We're both going to go along, and it should be a fun time.

Happy Gratitude Tuesday!

Check it out!

PaulH666, did an awesome job of turning Morgan's reading list into a story. Very nice job!

Read it here on his blog Tan Her Hide.

For Paul...

A bit of Photoshopping, and a different picture on every side!

Board of Education?

As many of you know, Morgan is in first grade. One of her textbooks is a very basic Reading Handbook (which, I might add, she doesn't need, because my baby girl is an AWESOME reader). But anyway, part of their regular homework is to read a given page, which consists of vowel sounds, phonics, and short words. Today's list:

vat wet Jim nod yum

hug sob zip get Dad

fed miss rod bun tan

leg fuzz vet van lap.

Is it just me? I know people who could build a whole spanko story out of those elements!

Rubik's Spanko

It's no secret that I love silly online generators, so when I found the link to this one over at Bonnie's I had to make my own!

Perhaps...

...I made a mistake.

But it's been months since I bought a spanking toy. And it was only $2.99. And it was so pretty and so deceptively lightweight. Um, deceptively. I think I'm going to hide this one way back in the utensil drawer...

So True...

And a Gratitude Tuesday post....

I'm grateful for a (still relatively) clean house,

The spanking I got the other night because I needed it,

The awesome sex that followed it,

The (much needed) extra money on my paycheck this week from my sales last month,

The fact that Morgan's sleepover went well Friday night,

The beautiful weather lately,

And cute spanko images like the one above and the one I posted below!

Happy Gratitude Tuesday!

I love...

...love, LOVE this picture I found over at Bethie's. Too cute!

The Laundry Monster...

...has struck again. Right on my backside of course. Last night Nick dealt with the ongoing clothes pile issue with me. Our washer and dryer are located in our garage, just outside the kitchen door. This is the only place they will fit in our house, and unforunately this means that the dirty laundry also gets piled outside the kitchen door. Okay, this is just logistically how things are if there's any laundry at all to be done, and my husband the mechanic and expert dirty laundry creator, sire of Morgan the professional outfit soiler understands this.

What he does not understand is the tendency of this laudry pile to grow to the point that it forms a well padded pathway to the door, getting constantly trampled underfoot by Morgan, myself, and his own mechanic's boots. I know that this is his pet peeve, and I try to keep the floor clear, but to be honest, sometimes it's easier to step over a pile and think, "I'll get it later."

Last night's 250 swat sonata played with both his hand and the fish paddle was all about convincing me of the level of ire which this raises in him. Don't get me wrong, he took my recent hard work in getting the house neat into account, which is why the swat count wasn't somewhere in the 500's and I also got to keep my panties for the first 200. But rest assured that when I came home today the first thing I did was clear a very neat area in front of the door.

Sleeeeeeeepy!

Ahhh...done with the housework. Well, the laundry monster is still lurking, but the rest of the house looks good, even Morgan's room, which took a ridiculous amount of work to get finished. The child has too much stuff. But right now she and her friend are downstairs playing in the glorious order of it, and I'm glad I put in the time on it. She helped too, of course. And Nick was awesome about working on the other areas of the house. He and I are hanging out in bed with The Benchwarmers on the TV, and I thought I'd take a minute to do this little survey I found over at Kate James' place.

Wow it's quiet around here!

But that's only because you can't hear my washing machine running from where you're at. I've been busy, busy, busy lately, thus the hush on here. I've been making a huge effort at the laundry, which unfortunately seems to be growing before my eyes. We're also trying to get Morgan's room in good shape so that we can issue a return invitation to the little girl she's had a couple of sleepovers with, and the rest of the house looking good so that we can have some grown-up friends over this weekend.

Speaking of sleepovers, Morgan spent the night with my mom on Friday night, and Nick and I actually got to go have dinner and then spend some quality naked time together!
Since there was no spanking I'll leave the rest of the details to your imagination, but suffice it to say it was very nice indeed...

Anyway, hopefully life will slow down a bit soon and I can catch up with all my friends on here! In the meantime, a sign Nick needs to see posted at Wal-Mart!

And how spankable are you, hmmm?

Your Score: SPANK SLUT

You are 86% spankable!

You loved to be spanked, good and hard, with any available object. You will take it as hard as anyone is willing to give it. You are probably guilty of provoking your lover into spanking you, by flagrant misbehavior or verbal challenges. Hell, your ass is probably red right now. We wouldn?t be surprised if you are standing at the keyboard, because it hurts to sit down.

My test tracked 1 variable How you compared to other people your age and gender:

You scored higher than 82% on spankability

Remember

Saturday, September 08, 2007

I've got a craving...

I've been fantasizing lately. Well, I suppose I always am, but recently I've found my fantasies focusing on a very stern, very serious paddling, the kind where I assume the position and take it with my hands on my knees and my face forward. The kind where Nick is standing behind me with a big long school paddle and a no-nosense tone and setting the seat of my jeans on fire. And then I'd like a shot at showing him how very well I've learned my lesson and how very, very sorry I am...

I've been a very good girl since my last spanking, but as we all know...

2. Do you remember the first" blogger" that you had an E-Mail Relationship with?
A: Hmmm...I'm not really sure, although I think it might have been Sue.

A: I felt like it would be a good way to communicate my needs to Nick as well as have an outlet for all my silly spanko thoughts (and it has been!)

4. When was your first post, and who was your first commenter?
A: My first post was March 13, 2005, and my first commenter was Am of
Our Kinky Blog, although back then she went by C.

A: Tons of them!

6. Is your Blog categorized?..(I.E. Comedy, Literary, Personal Angst, Etc.)

A: Clothes from my clearance shopping spree!

Happy Labor Day!

I hope you guys all had a safe and happy Labor Day. I sure wish I could've taken my own glittery advice and taken the day off, but sadly it was not to be. We did however get to go spend some time with my family after I got off work (thus the very late posting), so it wasn't a total loss.

We were on our way home when Morgan decided she wanted to play her famous guessing game. Now this game consists of her either describing very easy things in extremely obvious ways ("It's green, it goes on the road, and you're driving it right now") or very unlikely things in very obscure ways ("It's red and yellow." That was the extent of her hints - it turned out to be "fire").

Anyway, for whatever reason she decided to describe me as follows: "What (who) gets very, very red when she's very sweet?" Okay, I don't think I have a particular predisposition to blushing when I'm being "very sweet" so this one took us some time. After we finally guessed "Mommy" Nick looked at me and said, "Well I don't know that being sweet turns you red, but I know that turning you red can make you very sweet." Funny guy...

Hope you guys had a great weekend!

Lonely weekend

Nick went to a car show out of town this weekend, so I've been doing the all alone/single parent thing. The all alone part was Friday and Saturday morning - Morgan spent the night with a friend. I was sick and woke up late Friday morning, so Nick took Morgan to school before he left. It turns out that in his hurry he forgot to lock the back door and turn on the alarm. Well, I didn't get home till fairly late, because I used the kid-free time to do some clearance shopping (with his permission). I was a little freaked out to come home and find the house unlocked and the alarm off, especially since it was late and I was alone. I grabbed a sharp knife (okay, it had barbecue sauce on it, but who does dishes at a time like that?) and stalked through the house, opening closets and yanking back shower curtains. Of course everything was undisturbed, so feeling a bit foolish, I put the knife in the sink and unloaded the car.

I just hung out with a book for a while, then played on the computer, catching up on blogs and such, then went to bed. Saturday afternoon I picked Morgan up and took her to get some lunch. We came home and took a nap, then went up to the cabin for Nick's family's annual fish fry.

This morning Morgan and I slept in and then went to have lunch and go to our local used book store. Now we're back home and just waiting for Nick to get back. I know he had fun, and I'm glad he had the opportunity to go do something like this with his friends, but I sure will be glad to have him back!
