Yes, another link update...

So now that I've alphabetized my link list, I keep running across blogs that I meant to link at some time in the past. I don't think I dropped anybody when I reorganized, but I'm always saving links to new spanko blogs, with the intent of adding them on the next go-round; the problem was that by the time I updated, I had to go through 140+ poorly organized (and sometimes similarly named) links to see if a particular one is already up. Sometimes I'd think I'd seen one when I really hadn't. So now that I've alphabetized, I can just look right where a blog should be, and if it's not there - I know to add it!

All of that said, here are a few new ones:

A Life Restarted

A Reluctant Dom

A Spanker's View

Emilie Gets Spanked

Susie A's Journal

Also, I want to recommend, with some small reserve, Patty's new sites. She is an incredibly talented artist and author who unfortunately hurt a lot of people with her dishonesty. Please take her truth with a grain of salt. That said, she has a tremendous amount to offer, both as a spanko and a person. You can enjoy her art at Patty's Gallery of Spanking Erotica, her stories at Satin and Leather, and her personal insights at Creative Spanko Wench Blog.

Gratitude Tuesday

Several blogs, Angel Reflection, Giardino del Piacere, New Beginnings, My Naked Truth (new link alert!), Nothing Random, SNN's Spanko Diary, and A Day in the Life just to name a few participate in a lovely tradition called Gratitude Tuesday. I think it's lovely, and I'm jumping on the bandwagon.

Everyone else is on the J's but I'm going to start with A. So here goes:

Apple slices with caramel dip - yum!

Autumn - my favorite time of year...

April 24 - the day both my husband and daughter were born!

Anticipation - enough said.

AngelBrat's Blog - sounds conceited, I know, but my blog has really helped me to come to terms with myself as a spanko.

Animals - most of them anyway. Snakes I could do without.

Afternoons - the lame part of the day is over, but there's plenty of time before bed.

Aftercare - Mmmmm!

A bit of mystery...

Graham over at SpankingOverSkirts has some lovely, rather seductively innocent images in his free gallery. Check them out!

Link Update

I played around with my links list and finally got it alphabetized to make things a bit easier to find. I've also added some great new (to me) sites:

Blistered Ass
Drawing Her OTK
Salt Rose Submissions
Spanking and Sex Games
The Iron Gate
Ed & littlepat's spanking blog
The Spanking Writers

Summer Toys

I know, I know, never bring homes spanking toys with holes in them. But they were so bright and colorful, I couldn't resist!

This one is a metal strip for holding magnets. I found it at Target for $1.00.

Pink!

A big thank you to Kay for sending me the link to these awesome pink (and, uh, other colors too) handcuffs! And not a bad price either - thanks, sweetie!

Dollar Tree Fun

I found a couple of cute things at my local Dollar Tree the other day. The first was this neat wire Angel ornament (which is now hanging up at work).

I also found some cute little wood cutouts, which included a couple of these. I'm going to make myself a magnet from one of them:

Hehehe...

My parents garden, and often send home fruits and vegetables. The other day they sent home (quite innocently I'm sure) this rather provocative tomato...

Back to School...

Back to school time is always a big trigger for me. The naughty schoolgirl getting some stern classroom discipline is maybe my top role play fantasy (right up there with the hardhanded cowboy). And so, when the stores start to fill with notebooks perfect for writing lines and rulers perfect for smacking naughty bottoms, not to mention dozens of adorable variations on the little plaid skirt, my spanko senses start humming. Last year I featured the Flexi-Ruler, which is still available this year for anywhere from $0.49 to $0.97.

This year I found this lovely steel stinger. I love that the end is rounded (no sharp corners), yet it has a nice stingy hole on that end too. Yummy!

Beauty with Bettie

I bought this pocket mirror (mirror on reverse) on eBay:

Lots of spanko fun stuff - and some not so fun stuff...

Night before last when it got to be bedtime, Nick got down Jokari. But, truth be told, we were both in the mood for sweeter stuff, so we agreed to put off the serious spanking till the next night. However, Jokari still came into play. But this time it was driving me to orgasm rather than repentance. I gotta say - we're loving having the bed to ourselves.
Last night when Jokari came out, it was to take care of a long time coming serious spanking to wipe the slate clean. (Being alone is a bit of a mixed bag sometimes too). He spanked long and hard, and I had a very hard time staying put. But when it was finally over, he cuddled me close and everything was brand new again. When I came home from work yesterday, much to my delight, he had made me this:

What an amazing and very cool man I've got! Thank you, baby!

Joint Effort...

Another update: Dave and Am have joined blogs at Our Kinky Blog.

Home Improvement

The threshold at our bathroom door has somehow been broken, and it needs replacing. So, the other day we went to our local Lowes and bought this replacement. Let me just say, if you have any schoolgirl ruler/yardstick fantasies, this is the thing to buy - it's 36 inches long and solid oak, and has a very satisfying smack. I'm uh, gonna go back and get another one. You know, just as a back up.

A very Cool New Blog

Today I stumbled across All Things Spanking in my stats, and I was very impressed. Go visit!

Random stuff

Wednesday night we finally got have to that much needed adult fun, along with a bit of also much needed spanking. The spanking wasn't very long, but it was hard, some good solid whacks with the AngelBrat paddle and a handy little 1/2 x 2 piece of lumber we picked up on our last trip to the home improvement store. It wasn't so much a punishment as a get-your-head-on-straight warning. It worked. I took a good hard look at my attitude of late, and it's been admittedly less than it should be. I confess to a pretty blatant disregard for the housework lately, and I realized just how much needed to change. I've begun to take steps toward that. I asked Nick to spank me again, this time as a punishment to wipe the slate clean, and he's agreed to do that very soon. Right now he's in the middle of his work week, and since he does 12 hour days, I'd rather it be taken care of when he's not tired and rushed. I can be patient.

When I came home yesterday Nick's truck was loaded down with a king size mattress and box springs set. He'd taken Morgan's old bed, along with our current (queen size) set and an old glider/rocker to the store where we got her new bed and done some trading to get the king set. I was sooo excited! We've wanted a king size set our whole marriage, but we were never able to shell out the money for a new set.

This was a brand new double pillow top set that's got to be the most comfortable thing I've ever slept on. We went to a Ross Store and found 400 thread count sheets for less than $40! If you're anywhere in the South, Ross is the place to shop for sheets.

Anyway, I'm off to hop in my big comfy bed with my amazing husband...

Busy

Well we've certainly been busy since Friday! A good friend of mine is in the process of selling her condo. Part of her sellers agreement was that she would have the place painted inside before closing. Okay, so she hired a guy. He seemed great, promising a perfectionist attitude and complete customer satisfaction before he would accept payment.

What she got was shoddy workmanship and a poor attitude. When she stopped by to check on his progress and found huge drips on the walls and paint spots on the carpet, she urged him to slow down and take his time. The next morning she found a note from him complaining about all the work involved in the job and telling her that he needed "support, not criticism." Then he painted the bathroom the wrong color. Then he told her that the paint store had given him the wrong color. Since she was dealing with the paint store directly (a smart move), she was able to verify that they had indeed filled the order correctly. The last straw was a note he left her on Thursday (after working 2 1/2 hours and then leaving). It asked her for $100 "running money for the weekend since I'm broke" and mentioned that he'd "be here all day tomorrow" and to "stop by and help if you can"!!! Why did she hire him again? Maybe because she didn't want to do the painting herself?

Anyway, when she called him and reminded him that they had agreed on payment after the job was complete, he told her he wasn't going to work anymore and left her key and remaining paint at the paint store. When she went to pick it up, the guy at the paint store told her that the paint in the bucket the painter was using had been watered down (by the painter), which explained in part why the work was so crappy.

As it turns out, our dishwasher bit the dust Thursday night. It was pretty old and worn out when we bought the house 5 years ago, so we weren't surprised, but it's never a good time to have to buy a new appliance. So, we worked it out with my friend to finish painting the condo at a price that was a steal for her yet gave us enough to replace the dishwasher.

So that's what we did Friday through Monday when we weren't at work. It was a handful, but she was happy with the work, and we were pretty proud of ourselves.

Yesterday we went shopping for a bed for Morgan. It's waaay past time she slept in her own room, but the bed down there was a top bunk only bunk bed that a friend had given to us. She's not the steadiest person when she first wakes up, and we didn't want her falling and hurting herself if she woke in the middle of the night and tried to climb down. My parents were giving us a fill size box springs and mattress, and we found a nice used frame and headboard with a matching armoire at a secondhand furniture store.

We went up to my parents' house to get the mattress and box springs yesterday afternoon. Unfortunately as Nick and my Dad were moving the box springs down the stairs, my Dad (quite accidentally) pushed when Nick wasn't expecting it, and Nick took a rather nasty spill down the last few steps and really hurt his leg. Fortunately he's not due back at work until Friday, so hopefully it will be much better by then. Your prayers would be appreciated.

Morgan did sleep in her bed last night, but sadly Nick's leg prevented any "grown-up fun."
Ah well, soon enough.
