Which are you?

Naughty or Nice

iSpank

I'm a huge fan of iTunes. After Nick bought me an iPod nano for Mother's Day I became absolutely addicted. Of course these genious renderings from Our Kinky Blog caught my eye. Love them, Dave!

American Spanking Society

My apologies to Todd & Suzy - I honestly thought I had linked their excellent blog American Spanking Society several months ago. Unfortunately it was floating around in my favorites but had not actually been added here. I'm taking care of that now, so go visit them!

The most evil you can buy for $1.00...

Yup, I got this monster for only $1.00. It's the heaviest spatula I've ever seen, and it packs a wallop. We've only played with it for literally a few swats, but I have to admit, I'm curiously hungry for more...

Happy Gratitude Tuesday Wednesday

Sorry for the late posting, guys. I'm still grateful - just very busy. Today I'm grateful for a list of E's:

Earrings - You can get so much bang for your buck - some of my favorites were $5 for the pair!

Eyes - I love Nick's eyes. They're very blue, and very good at giving "The Look"!

Eternity - and the fact that mine is assured.

Elevators - I don't anymore, but I used to work on the 9th floor, and God bless those reliable (if slow) elevators!

Electricity - I've gotta have my computer!

Ears - Nothing is sweeter than the sound of my baby girl's laughter.

Erections - er, well, you know...

Experience - and the person it made me.

Reckoning

The long awaited spanking happened last night. It was pretty late, but it's done with, and I'm glad. The issues at hand were mostly attitude, along with a bit of procrastination. I've been chipping away at Morgan's room (we seriously have to pare down there) bit by bit, but it's been rather slower going than it should be. That was a part of it.

The biggest part requires some background: Nick, his sisters, and their aunt have a small inheritance coming to them from the sale of Nick's grandmother's house. Nick's aunt declared herself executrix of the estate, which was just fine - except for the fact that she's really dragged her feet on things, to the point that three years after Nick's grandmother passed away, the estate (which consisted only of a few bills and the sale of her rather elderly house) still hasn't been settled.

The frustrating thing is that his aunt has done a fine job of avoiding any conversation about the matter, refusing to return calls and failing to fulfill her duties as executrix. Now the sum in question isn't terribly large, but it's very much needed, and we'd really like to be able to take a family vacation with part of it. Morgan has never seen the ocean, and we'd love to take her. The problem is that my scheduled vacation is in two weeks, and still no money.

So, I'm afraid I've been a bit of a nag about it. Now please understand that I'm not a money grubbing wife. Throughout our marriage, sometimes I've made more and sometimes he's made more, but we've always had joint accounts, and it was always "our" money, regardless of who brought it home. I have no personal plans for the money (and it's not that much anyway!) other than the vacation, which was very much his idea in the first place. This is something we've wanted to do for years, and if it doesn't come together in the next week or so, we won't have another opportunity until maybe next year.

Anyway, I haven't meant to bug him, but I admit that every day I came home with "Have you talked to L?" This was thoroughly addressed last night.

By the time he got down Jokari, there was no arguing from me. I knew it was coming, knew I deserved it, and just wanted it done with. He lectured me a bit, then began to spank me. Jokari is the absolute worst paddle we own. It never comes out unless I'm being punished, and if I'm being punished, very rarely does anything else get used.

He continued to lecture as he paddled, and I learned pretty quick that it was not the time for excuses. It wasn't very long at all before I was kicking and crying, and when the "please" fell off the "please stop!" he yanked down my pajama bottoms and spanked even harder.

When it was done with he held me, and when I was ready we made love.

I am so very blessed.

Still here...

I know, I know - it's been a silent week. It's also been a very busy one. In fact, I've been waiting on a spanking for about six days now. I'm pretty sure it's going to happen tonight, so this will be short, but I'll update soon.

Gratitude Tuesday - D

Once again, it's time to tally our blessings! This week I'm on D:

Diamonds - well, they are a girl's best friend!

Dining Out - No shopping, no cooking, no serving - what's not to love?

Dates - I love, love, LOVE time out with my husband - we just don't get to do it enough!

Dahlia - the name of the road Nick lived on when we started dating - so many amazing memories of that house!

Dishwasher - I've lived without one, but I wasn't happy about it!

Digital Cable - Thank God for Comcast On-Demand. With a little one in the house, it's a spanko's dream to be able to turn on SpongeBob at the touch of a button!

Dancing - Nick and I don't do much of it, but I love to go crazy with Morgan!

Happy Gratitude Tuesday!

A free moment...

We've had a crazy busy week. They unexpectedly changed my schedule at work to a half hour earlier, which is a good thing for the most part, but it's played havoc with the to and from school schedule for Morgan. That's all pretty much settled now, fortunately.

Friday we went to our state fair, which was a blast for Morgan, especially the petting zoo. Yesterday was spent cleaning for the most part, then Nick and I went to get dinner while my parents watched Morgan. With the schedule change they're watching her much less (once last week as opposed to the usual 5 times), so they were chomping at the bit to babysit. Then we came back to watch some football, and while the guys watched the game, I pitched in to help my mom straighten the house for some overnight guests who had to come from out of state on very short notice due to an ill relative.

We usually go to church on Sunday mornings, but I was pretty exhausted, so I slept in and woke up with a raging headache. Nick made lunch for us, and we went to church tonight. I've signed up to help with the preschool choir, and tonight was the first class for it. Morgan's in the kindergarten choir next door, and I think we're both going to really enjoy it.

Tomorrow Morgan and I will be going to my parent's church with my mom for a ladies' meeting that they hold every year. They always have a great speaker, and they give away lots of little gift bags and door prizes. I think it will be a neat grandmother/mother/daughter time for us.

Now...

I have some very cool links to update, and I want to do that now while I have a free moment. I'll get the permanent links up very soon.

In Remembrance

Picture found on CZBrats

My mom woke us that morning with the panicked message that the Pentagon was on fire and someone had crashed two planes into the World Trade Center. We tumbled out of bed to face a changed world. Nick and I were 22 and 23, brand new parents of a 5 month old baby girl, and we asked ourselves over and over again what we had done by bringing a child into this world.

We watched the screen of our tiny 13 inch TV as the second tower fell, as fellow Americans leapt to a less horrifying death than the flames that reached for them, as every face that flashed across the screen howled in rage and fear. We huddled together, our tiny family suddenly both connected to every other citizen and yet utterly alone.

I remember the unrealized horror of the empty sky above us, the panic inducing roar of distant vehicles that somehow sounded like murderous planes.

That day my foundation was shaken to a level I had never before fathomed. Today I can still feel the reverberations. I'm politely asking everyone to please keep politics off of here, but I want us to all stop and remember.

Exactly!

Sometimes someone writes something SO apt, SO eloquent, SO perfect that you just want to scream, "Yes! That's exactly how I feel!" That's what I found in this post from Grace at A Day in the Life. Here's an excerpt, but go read the whole thing too!

"Usually if we have sex before a spanking, we tend to forget about the spanking. I had two different thoughts about this. On the one hand, I had waited for a long time to get a spanking. I really needed this. I was disappointed. On the other hand I was breathing a sigh of relief because as much as I needed this spanking, I didn't really want it. This is hard for me to understand. It's hard for me to put into words. It's complicated."

Gratitude Tuesday - B

It's Gratitude Tuesday again, and today I'm thankful for B's!

Belt - Whether it's slow and sensual or hard, fast, and punishing, Nick's belt can deliver just what I need.

Babies - Someday I'd like to have another...

Bottoms - Hey, I appreciate fine art just like anyone!

Brown - I love it in almost any shade, from deep chocolate to milky cafe au lait - whether it's lipstick, a cozy fall sweater, or a sensuous leather couch.

Bed - my bed is so amazing; I dream of it all day!

Bread - With butter and garlic, or just drizzled with honey...

Brats - Life wouldn't be nearly as fun without them!

Baths - Because I'm way too uncoordinated to shave my legs standing up, I've never learned to live without them. And what a lovely escape they are!

Bend Over - Two of the most heart-racing/heart-stopping words in the world!

Blue - Another color I adore!

Happy Gratitude Tuesday!

Effects of spanking

Whew! I'm certainly experienced increased breathing! Found this on Wikia.

Spanking increases the circulation of the skin, resulting in redness similar to blushing (a so-called red bottom, although the color is more often only a rosy pink). Spanking with implements can also leave marks on the buttocks, such as welts, bruises or blisters. In extreme cases, it can break the skin.

Typical physical reactions to getting spanked are:

*facial expressions of pain
*clenching of the buttocks muscles to counteract the impacts
*sweating
*increased breathing
*involuntary body movements (back, head, legs, arms)
*involuntary sounds, such as "ow" or "aah"
*increased circulation (getting a red face)
*pleads to stop the spanking, promises to be good
*attempts to escape or to block the spanks
*sobbing, crying, blubbering, tears and runny nose
*in a late, "well-spanked" phase: giving up all resistance ("broken will"), characterized by exhausted relaxation, passiveness, and difficulty to
move controlled or to speak
*Long-term physical after-effects of a spanking:
*redness and higher temperature ("warm glow") of the buttocks for several hours
*pain (and sometimes, itching) in the buttocks, causing a desire to rub
*marks such as welts or bruises that are painful to the touch for several days
*discomfort when sitting or lying on the back

Just what I needed...

Yesterday was a bad day for me. Work has been super stressful for me lately, just bureaucratic bs about every aspect of the day that has made my job a constant headache, instead of the enjoyable occupation it used to be. When I was 2 minutes late yesterday, it "went in my file" since it was the 6th time in 12 months.

Now when I say it was the 6th time in 12 months, I mean that literally one of those 6 times was me being over 2 minutes tardy (9 minutes in that case, due to traffic). The other 5 were 2 minutes or less tardy. So when my manager called me up to "discuss this" I basically went off into a bitchfest about how freakin oppressive the job had become and that if upper management (who aren't bound by such mundane things as fixed schedules) couldn't understand that sometimes traffic happens and that it was neither laziness nor carelessness on my part (I was late yesterday because there was a wreck on my way in), then there was nothing I could do about it. I wasn't rude to her, but I was definitely blunter than professionalism calls for, and I should've just let it go.

Anyway, I got home and rehashed all of this for Nick, until his sister called, at which time (in my obviously reasonable state of mind) I decided that he'd rather shoot the breeze with her than comfort me. So I took myself upstairs and got on the computer. A few minutes later when he got off the phone and asked about dinner, I had a rather less than respectful reply. That was when he came upstairs, yanked down my pants and went about adjusting my attitude with Jokari. I wasn't exactly cooperative, so it went on longer than it had to, but finally he put down the paddle.

So there I was crying into my pillow when suddenly he said, "I don't think that quite did it."

"What? No - !"

Before I knew it he was wearing my butt out with his hand, and soon I was sobbing in earnest. When he finally felt the attitude give way, he stopped and held me close. When I had calmed a bit, he began to bring me the rest of the way back to where I needed to be, but this part of loving me, as always was much more pleasant. By the time we finally got to go to bed for the night I was very sore and very satisfied.

This morning as I squirmed in my chair on a very achy bottom I decided to face the situation with a much better attitude, and when my manager came in (20 minutes late I might add!) I went to her and apologized for my behavior. She was very sweet about it, and the whole day went much better than the one before.

I'm so very blessed to have a man who loves me so much, and gives me just what I need...
