Waiting

Okay. I'm waiting on a spanking. I've been waiting on a spanking. For two weeks. When we were on vacation there was an argument that escalated into some pretty serious disrespect, but the proximity of my parents along with a desire on both of our parts to just put it away for the time being resulted in reckoning delayed. But when we got back to the house I was supposed to have spotless before we left, he announced that there were issues to be dealt with.

Even though he was going into a 6 day shift, he promised I wouldn't have to wait till his next day off. Well, that day came and went. Along with his entire next shift. Yesterday, his first day off this time, he announced on the way to church that we had business to attend to. So I sit in church, my stomach in knots, trying to concentrate on the sermon instead of what he might use to blister my bottom.

After church we went to the pumpkin patch to get our pumpkins. Then back to church. Then back home. Then eventually to bed. Still no spanking. Although we did have a short conversation about how I'd assumed that after two weeks the issue was off the table and he assured me that in fact it was not.

Tonight he turned on a movie after he carved the pumpkins. Now granted, he's put a lot into today: he had to take Morgan for her kindergarten physical, complete with the throat swab and the finger prick and the peeing in a cup and the immunizations, all of which was rather upsetting to her. And then he took her bowling to get her mind off things, which was an awesome thing to do.

But I am about to go nuts. I'm not at all excited to get spanked here - in fact I'm really dreading it. But I hate the waiting. I just want it done with so I don't have to think about it. Urrgg!

Pumpkin Carving

Nick carved our pumpkins today, and as always, he did an outstanding job! The one on the right (also pictured below) is actually for a contest at my work. I got permission for him to do the carving for my team, and I think they'll all be pleased. Happy Halloween!

How did you get here?

Elis posted a great question the other day: How did you get here?

I've been a spanko for literally as long as I can remember. When I was younger even than Morgan I was fascinated by spanking. Of course I just knew I was the only one ever, so I never told a soul until Nick, and it was nothing short of astonishing that I managed that!

I was literally never on the internet until I was maybe 21, and one day, yup, just like everybody else, I typed the word "spanking" into a search engine. Holy crap! A lot of the stuff I found was pretty scary, but the sheer volume of what was there overwhelmed and delighted me. There were others like me! Sadly, it wasn't long until our second hand, ten-year-old computer bit the dust, and there was no such thing as money for a new one.

It wasn't for a few of years that we finally got another hand-me-down machine and got back online. I waited till I was alone (years into our marriage I still couldn't say "spanking" without the lights out and Nick half asleep), and typed that magical word back into a search engine. I found a lot of stuff, but I remember thinking that, "yeah, this is spanking stuff, but somehow it's just not exactly my cup of tea."

By this point in our marriage, Nick and I had begun to chafe against each other. It was nothing so serious as to ever bring "not making it" into the picture, but we'd definitely been happier. The two biggest issues were the facts that I was a horrible housekeeper (I know, I know, but back then I didn't even try), and he just didn't get or want to cater to my spanking needs. There was definite resentment on both parts, and it became a whole "Why should I spank/clean if she/he won't clean/spank?"

On New Year's Eve, after 5 1/2 years of marriage, we had the mother of all fights. Somewhere in all the yelling and screaming I flung out that maybe he should just spank me for it if he was so upset about the house. It was like someone suddenly cut the lights. We both stopped yelling and looked at each other as though we'd heard the stove speak. Who'd ever heard of such a thing? I mean, really?

But I started exploring. I first found Southern California Spanked Wives and Brat's Place for Spanking on MSN, and from there I found SpankSpot and Bethany's Woodshed. What really grabbed me though was Vickie Blue. All of a sudden every question, desire, and unvoiced need I had about spanking came into focus with the words "Domestic Discipline."

This was what I wanted and needed! Our marriage had started to bind in ways that weren't good, and I felt with overwhelming certainty that I was looking at the way home.

I spent days researching, hunting and printing, gathering a huge binder full of articles. One night I finally got up enough courage to dump it in Nick's lap with a "Here'ssomestuffIfoundonlineyoumight-wannareadit&maybethinkaboutitIgottago!" I fled, and thankfully, he read. It wasn't easy at first (or truly even now), but it did get easier with time.

I started blogging after Patty started hers. I enjoyed the forums where I read, but I never really felt comfortable posting, mostly because Nick would never read, and he was the one I really wanted to communicate with most of all. Blogging seemed the perfect low pressure way to present my thoughts and needs. What I didn't expect were all the wonderful friends I've made here. This has become a place where I feel loved and appreciated, able to share and laugh and be a crazy uber-spanko who puts up pictures of provocative socks with full confidence that someone here will find them just as kinky as me.

Whew! I've got a minute to breathe, so I thought I'd hop on here. Yesterday was my birthday - I'm now 29. Sadly Nick and I both had to work, so there wasn't much celebration, although we did go out for dinner when he got home. I'm loving my laptop! (Thank you SO much, baby!) As it turns out, birthday spankings aren't official until they're administered to both cheeks. Who knew?

We're baaaack!

We're back, and we had such a great time! The weather was phenomenal, and we got to go do all the cheesy touristy stuff in Panama City Beach. Nick got to do some deep sea fishing with my dad, and my mom and I did some shopping. Nick and I did some shopping of our own, and I got this cool Bettie Page key chain at Hot Topic, where they also had some very interesting riding crops in their Halloween section, not to mention some rather provocatively named thigh high stockings.














We also went to an antique shop where they had this cool old razor strop. Unfortunately it was priced a bit out of our range, so it stayed where it was, but a girl can dream, right?




It was an amazing vacation, and I'm so glad we got to go, and so very grateful to Nick for making it happen. Thank you, Sugar!

I'm sooooooo excited!!!!!

Okay, first of all, things got settled, and we're leaving for the beach on Saturday!!! Hooray!!! That in itself is awesome enough. But there's more...

Tonight Nick took me to Best Buy and bought me an amazing laptop and all the stuff we need to go wireless with it! I've wanted a laptop for the last dozen years, but we've never been able to afford one. Tonight he generously used a good chunk of his inheritance to buy me not just a good one, but a great one! I'm sooo excited about this, because as a spanking blogger, sometimes I need privacy from little eyes that's hard to get when the computer's in the same room as the DVD player.

Speaking of DVD players, this is going to come in sooo handy on the 9 hour drive to the beach with a five year old. I'm posting this from our desktop PC, because the Geek Squad is going to come install the wireless router and set up the security, but they can't get here till the 24th. In the meantime, I hope to stay at a hotel with wi-fi so that I can check in from the beach.

I'm truly humbled by such a gift, and the simplest, purest words I can say to Nick are just THANK YOU!

My nanny was a wonderful quirky woman with a house full of off the wall stuff. The other day my mom was going through some of her things to distribute and discard, and she came across this kooky flyswatter. I couldn't help rescuing it from the garbage.
