Yesterday was rather fraught with emotion. Thursday night when we got in bed Nick told me to prepare myself because the spanking was definitely going to happen the next day. I thought about it off and on all day at work, but honestly, by then I'd been waiting long enough that it seemed like an unlikely rumor. Anyway, we didn't have a baby sitter, and I had a feeling that it would turn out to be another night full of distractions that took us all the way to bedtime.
Then, just before I left work, I got an email from my mom. She works at Morgan's school, and wanted to know if she could take Morgan home with her for a while. It had been a few days since she'd spent time with my parents and they'd been missing her. With a looming spanking suddenly a much more distinct possibility, it was tempting to tell my mom it was a bad time, but Morgan missed them too, so I told her it was fine.
And so I headed home all by my lonesome to meet my fate. I called Nick on my way home, and he was on his way to get his hair cut. This left me briefly hopeful that perhaps he'd be gone until it was time to pick Morgan up. Nope. He got home just a few minutes after I did. We spent some time each talking about our day, but it wasn't long until he announced that we had something to take care of. Dear Lord, this was actually going to happen. While he retrieved the evil fish paddle I tried my best to talk him out of it, but I couldn't come up with any real reasons why I didn't deserve it, and "I don't want to!" turned out to be an oddly unconvincing argument.
Upstairs in the bedroom he joined me on the bed and turned me over onto my stomach. To my surprise, he left both my jeans and panties up, but he immediately laid into me with the paddle. I tried to keep count, but after 30 or so swats I got lost in the burn of it. After a minute or so he stopped, but quickly informed me that we weren't finished. He turned me on my side and unfastened my jeans. When he tugged them down and got a view of my panties, he chuckled.

"How appropriate." Okay, I seriously didn't plan that. I showered the night before, before he told me the spanking was definitely the next day, and they were literally on the top of a basket of clean clothes. I really did just happen to grab them, but he seemed to get a kick out of them. Anyway, they didn't stay on display - they came right down after my jeans.
He moved me back into position and started spanking again, although this time with his hand. Okay, fine, I thought, I can handle his hand, just so long as he doesn't pick back up that paddle.
Ha!
It hurt SO BAD. I don't know if it was just because I hadn't been spanked in a while or if he'd been holding back before, but it's NEVER hurt that bad with his hand before. It seemed like the hand spanking went on forever, but eventually he stopped...and picked back up the paddle. By this time I was in serious distress, but I was trying hard to hold still. At some point in most spankings though, my butt just says "Screw this! I'm out of here!" and my whole body does this kung-fu flip out of position. Nick says that I have an uncanny knack for doing this when he's almost finished. This time I moved when he was at 299. Of 300. And so, I earned myself an extra 50.
Eventually though it was over, and he lay down beside me and held me. We talked about why it had to happen, and what I could do to keep it from happening again, and we spent a few minutes just holding each other. He began to gently rub my bottom, and very soon the throbbing turned into something very, very nice. What happened next is kind of a blur, but I moved down between his thighs for a bit, and at some point I was back getting spanked while he tugged on my hair and whispered about what a naughty girl I'd been. The good girl spanking was amazing, just what I needed to reconnect after being punished.
Later, we were on our way home from picking up Morgan. We were almost to our street when Nick suddenly hit the breaks and threw it in park. On the other side of the road tail lights glowed. A car was laying on its side in a five foot ditch. We both jumped out and heard the occupants of the car screaming. Nick sprinted down into the ditch, yelling at me to call 911. My heart in my throat, I fumbled through my purse for my phone. By the time I got an answer several cars had stopped behind us and several of the drivers had gotten out to help. One of them helped Nick pull open the passenger's side door.
Inside were two young girls, 17 and 19. Nick held the door open and just talked to them both, calming them down and letting them know that people were there to help and paramedics were on the way. The passenger was okay, mostly just very shaken up, but the driver hurt her arm, probably when her door hit the ground, and at first she wasn't responding. I think she was just stunned though, and by the time the paramedics arrived she was freaking out but definitely talking.
Nick helped the passenger up onto the side of the car and stayed there to hold the door open and talk to them both until the the fire trucks arrived. As soon as I was sure no one was seriously hurt and that I couldn't be of much assistance I moved Nick's truck and parked it in the entrance to a subdivision a few yards down the road. I carried Morgan back to the wreck, safe enough since by then the police were there and traffic was stopped both ways. I moved back out of the immediate hive of activity and talked to her about what had happened and why seat belts are so important.
When the EMTs arrived, Nick moved out of their way and we all walked back to the truck. Once inside we took a few minutes to say a prayer for the cars occupants and the emergency workers, and to thank God that no one was more seriously injured.
When we got home Nick did most of the cooking to fix an amazing dinner, and we just chilled out for the rest of the night. I'm so very proud of my husband. He didn't think twice about jumping in to help those girls, even though the car was in a precarious position, and there was no way to know if there was a gas tank leak or some other dangerous situation. And beyond all that, he's just an amazing husband and father. I'm so very blessed!
