A lovely day and more links...

Well, today was our anniversary, and it was lovely (at least after we both got off work). However, I'm extremely tired right now, so I'll post more about it tomorrow. But for now, here are a few new links to enjoy. I'll get them all added to the links section on the right as soon as possible.

We're back!

Nick, Morgan and I just got back from our vacation. It was too short! But we really had a lovely time. We went up to the cabin on Wednesday, where Nick's grandparents left us the keys and the fixings for a steak dinner. We didn't do a whole lot on Wednesday other than unpack and just kind of chill out.

Thursday we went to a local amusement park we have season passes to, where Morgan very bravely rode a couple of water rides she previously hated. This time she decided that the roller coaster one just tickled her belly a bit, and the other one was very funny in that Mommy got soaked.

Friday we had to come back in to get Nick's paycheck and pay some bills, not to mention feed the dog (when you have a house full of spanko toys it kind of puts a damper on asking anyone to feed the pets for you). We had planned to have some friends up to the cabin for a cookout that night, but the husband ended up having to work late, so we just headed into a nearby mountain town to do cheesy touristy stuff. I found a fun hand shaped flyswatter like these
(I ran out of room on my camera, so this shot I found online) which will be good for play.

Yesterday we did some swimming and Nick and I both ended up sunburned (not lack of sunscreen, just pale, Irish skin). A bit later Nick did some very successful fishing until Morgan decided to join him and "help".
It turns out that little feet stomping across a dock is a bit of a tell for the fish.

Today was pack up and go day, so we got the cabin in shape and took off for some putt-putt, then swung back by the cabin to load everything up.

Okay, that's the family part. Here's the couple part:

The spanking I was due didn't happen before we left, somewhat to my frustration, because I figured that he just wouldn't want to deal with it during our time off together. I mentioned it on Wednesday, and we had a short, poorly timed conversation (he was very close to falling asleep) that ended with him saying something like "I'm sorry I've not gotten to it, but this isn't my thing, so sometimes you may have to remind me." Okay, for me "This isn't my thing" is a conversation ender. Whether he means it this way or not, the way it comes across is "You aren't my thing." And deep down inside, I know that he doesn't mean it that way, but it just stabs at every insecurity I have as a spanko.

So, I very cheerfully said, "Okay!", turned out the lamp, turned over, and let him drift off to sleep, which took about 35 seconds. Then I got up, went out on the porch, and bawled my eyes out for an hour. But I honestly wasn't just out there feeling sorry for myself. I spent the time taking a serious look at what DD meant to us as a couple, and I decided that just maybe I've been asking Nick to be something he isn't, and that maybe that's not such a healthy thing. So I cried some more, and prayed, and cried yet some more, and decided that he'd given me 2 1/2 good years of DD, and that it was time to let it go. It just hadn't felt like we were a team for a while, and I felt like maybe DD and my expectations of it were part of the reason. I never wanted to make him live his life in a mold that didn't fit.

I decided that rather than making a big dramatic announcement ("You're free!") that would doubtless lead to a big messy crying fit on my part that I would just stop bringing it up. Ever. I would leave it up to him to continue with DD if he wanted, still treating him respectfully and as HoH, but I would put away all the implements at home and never mention spanking again. And eventually, when months passed without him bringing it up, I could stop thinking about it every day.

So I cried myself out and went to bed, and tried hard to forget that I'm a spanko. But a hundred things went wrong, from the cancelled cookout on Friday which was rescheduled for Saturday and then recancelled for the same reason to the depressing process of having to take time out of our vacation to deal with money issues, which put Nick in a bad mood. I just couldn't get past the nameless ache in my heart that I knew was rooted in the decision that I nonetheless felt was right.

This morning I got up early and fixed myself breakfast, then hung out and read a magazine. Nick joined me before I had my Toaster Streudel out of the toaster, and he watched me read and studiously avoid any attempt to draw me into conversation. Then he got up and came back with this.

Now this was something we got for Nick's grandfather a few years ago. It's the sturdiest flyswatter known to man. The handle is made from a fishing rod (thus, a "fly rod" for those of you who will appreciate the humor). Okay, now I had a problem. Clearly he intended to make good on the promised spanking, so now I had to tell him what I had decided. The conversation went something like this:

"Look, can we talk about this for a minute?"

"Nope. There's nothing to talk about. I want you to get your butt up."

"No, seriously. I need to tell you something. I...I think maybe it's time we let this go. No, wait, I'm serious! I've given this a lot of thought, and I feel like maybe this has been enough. You've given me two and 1/2 years of DD, and I can't keep asking this from you..."

"I don't care what you thought - this is going to happen. You've had a bad attitude for weeks, and we're going to take care of it right now. Now get up!"

At that point I decided that maybe it would be best to just take the spanking and try to explain afterwards, when it wouldn't look like I was just trying to get out of it. So I asked him to close the blinds (we were on the screened-in porch) and the curtains that looked out from the living room in case Morgan woke up. He agreed and ordered me to pull down my pants and panties and bend over the ottoman. I obeyed, and was in position by the time he got back out.

Okay, to say that I got spanked is like saying Hiroshima went through a bit of a bombing. I got SPANKED. He started with the flyswatter, which feels like a thousand angry bees. Then, when he wasn't sure he was getting his point across, he began spanking with his hand. His hand hurt worse than I ever remember it doing before, and when his hand got tired, he took off his belt. Now I HATE getting spanked with his belt. It just plain hurts like nobody's business. And he doesn't use it very often. He doesn't have to. He alternated between the flyswatter, his hand, and his belt for the whole punishment. I have no idea how long the spanking went on, but I do know that I spent most of it begging him to stop and promising to do absolutely anything he wanted me to. He answered the promises with, " I want you to change your attitude" which I swiftly agreed to. I was near tears before the first swat, so I was sobbing like a baby by the time it was over. (Thankfully the neighbors were all gone).

When he was finished he let me go to the bathroom, and I came back, wiping my eyes and determined to have this conversation. What I got was a much needed and very reassuring lecture about how there was no way he was giving up DD. He told me that we both had contributed to the recent distance between us, but that he felt like it was mostly his fault, because he'd just been letting me get away with too much, which didn't leave me feeling very safe. He said that he hadn't taken advantage of the opportunities he'd had to bring me back in line, that he hadn't been taking care of me the way he should, and that all of that was changing as of now.

Of course all of that did exactly what it was supposed to, which was jerk me back into line and address the issues that made me spiral in the first place. One issue that has been a serious bone of contention between us lately has been the laundry, so, feeling quite brave, I told him that I felt like I really should have done better with it, and that maybe until it's all finished, I should be punished every night. He said that was a rather fine idea, at which point all my bravery fled, and I tried to invoke the 30-second rule on my suggestion. That didn't work, so apparently starting tomorrow I'll be getting spanked every night until the laundry is done.

My husband is just the greatest guy ever. I've not exactly been a picnic to live with myself, and that's not his fault. But still he stepped in and calmed my fears and reset my heart and checked me before I could do something that would ultimately hurt us both. He could see that this is something we both need, and also that I was projecting my fears about it onto him. He's so good to me.

Happy Anniversary, Sweetheart.

Off to the lake...

Nick and I are on vacation this week. Well, I'm on vacation this week. He's not been at his current job long enough to qualify for an official vacation yet, but since he works 4 on and 5 off, we're still able to take a few days together. He'll be off tomorrow through Sunday. Tomorrow morning we're leaving to go up to the cabin where we spent our honeymoon, and we'll stay through Sunday evening. The cabin belongs to Nick's grandparents, and they always let us stay for our anniversary. The big day isn't actually until Monday (8 years!), by which time we'll both be back at work, but we couldn't work it out so that Nick could have that time off.

Anyway, it will be heaven to have some time away. The cabin sits right on the lake, and we'll be able to get in some great fishing and swimming. I've spent the last two days trying to get the laundry at least mostly done and getting things packed. Morgan is bouncing-off-the-walls excited. She asks about "our cabin" all year long, and I have a feeling she's going to have a hard time getting to sleep tonight.

I've still not been spanked, and I hope that can be dealt with tonight. I got spanked at the cabin last year, but there are neighbors, and it's really not an ideal atmosphere for the kind of spanking I need (ahem, noisy). Not to mention the fact that it's hard to get Morgan to sleep up there without Nick and I turning out the lights and going to bed too. Here at home the house is big enough that if she isn't asleep, we can get her occupied with a louder than normal TV and mask any remaining sound with closed doors and running fans. BUT, spanking dealt with or not, I'm excited to be leaving tomorrow. I may check back on Friday (we have to come back for a few hours to get his paycheck and pay some bills), but otherwise, have a great week, and I'll report all when I get back!

Happy Father's Day!

This is a bit late, but yesterday was pretty packed. I want to say a big Happy Father's Day to all of the wonderful men out there who spend every day doing what needs to be done, who work hard at a job that may suck, and pick up odd jobs along the way to make ends meet, who crawl in after a long hard day and still make time for tea parties and Dr Seuss. My sweetheart is one of the hardest working men I know, but he always has time to be a great dad (and a great husband!), and I'm fortunate enough to be able to say that I married a man just like Daddy. My own father held close the same principles of God and family, and I was a very loved little girl indeed. Happy Father's Day and thank you.

Shaky

DD has felt shaky for me lately. Money has been super-tight, work has sucked hard, and I just can't seem to get ahead of the laundry. Nick has been extremely stressed, mostly because of the money situation (our vacation is next week, and we're pretty much busted - thank God for the lake), but also because stress has made me wheel around on edge. As Nick said tonight, I've been coming at him with my claws out at every turn. The last spanking I got was much needed, but it was maybe less defined than I needed it to be. I guess I'm just feeling out of control and defiant, and what I need is to be firmly punished. Tonight Nick told me that I have a spanking coming. Thank God...

A quilt to warm in many ways...

The other day our down comforter developed a hole in it which, over the course of a few days, resulted in a virtual feather storm in the bedroom and led in part to the spanking I got last Saturday. Anyway, the down comforter is no longer on the bed, and I got out a quilt that my great aunt made for me when Nick and I hadn't been married for very long.

I loved the quilt when I got it, and I have to admit that it certainly stirred my spanko juices a bit, although I'm sure that was not her intention (or was it? Hmmm?). However, at the time spanking was a rather touchy subject between us, and I put the quilt away in favor of one that matched our sheets, and honestly, kind of forgot that I had it. So the other day when I went looking for a replacement blanket, I was delighted to find it again. And as I really looked at the pattern, it gave me naughty schoolgirl thoughts all over again, and I wanted to share it here. If you'll notice, the border of each square is made of rulers labeled "Board of Education." (Click on the picture to enlarge). Yummy!

Wheeee!

I've actually got a bruised bottom! Yippee! Okay, sounds crazy, I know. But I never mark anymore, and I happen to love spanking marks. When Nick first started spanking me I was a tiny little undernourished thing who bruised if you gave me a dirty look, and just his hand turned my fragile little bottom into a mass of bruises. Of course that was 8 years and many pounds ago. Plus, usually I get paddled with rather more frequency than once a month these days, so usually I develop a bit of a tolerance for it, or at least my bottom doesn't bruise like it used to.

But yesterday's run-in with Jokari left me with a considerably large oval shaped reminder in a lovely shade of purple, as well as an ambitious smattering of reddish purple spots all over the rest of the targeted area. Why do I love marks so much? I certainly wasn't very happy while I was getting them. But I needed the spanking, and having visible evidence that it happened is a very erotic reminder to me that Nick loves me enough to have given it to me. And that's always sexy...

Renewed...

This morning I got a long hard spanking. Well, it probably wasn't really that hard, but it's been over a month since I'd had a serious spanking, and over three weeks since I'd been spanked even for fun. You could say that my butt wasn't quite as tough as it used to be.

This was probably more punishment than anything else, considering we'd spent the first part of the morning doing some heavy cleaning on the bedroom. I lay on the bed, and Nick pulled down my jeans and panties. He held me close and alternated between his hand, the AngelBrat paddle, and Jokari. It didn't take much to get me in tears, which was exactly where I needed to be. Afterwards he brought me to a fantastic orgasm, and I returned the favor with my lips. It was so much what I needed, and I felt completely renewed and so close to him.

Thank you, Sugar!

I'm still kickin'

I'm still here - I know I've been pretty absent here for the last week or so. Things have just been incredibly busy. Saturday a friend watched Morgan so that Nick and I could visit a water park we bought season passes to this year. Morgan had never been, and filled with a five-year-old's typical skepticism for all things new, she'd been declaring for weeks that she didn't want to go. Well, we knew that once she actually went she'd be singing a different tune, so when R offered to babysit, we jumped on the opportunity to do the grown-up tour (actually riding big slides, etc...). We had such a blast that we decided to go back the next day after church and take her with us. Of course she loved it!

Since then both Nick and I have been battling the sniffles combined with an attempted uprising of the sinus crud we dealt with in February. Monday I was off, but he had to work, so there wasn't really anything special for Memorial Day.

Spanking has been pretty non-existent for a few weeks now, although hopefully that will change soon, because I'm starting to get pretty antsy, and I can feel myself getting to the point of need.

A Call to Arms, er, Pens...

Okay, Nick and I are HUGE fans of the ridiculously addictive show "Lost." HUGE fans. And any other fans out there know that last night was the season finale. So tonight, Lost on the brain, I hopped online to see if I could find any Lost spanking stories. And...there...were...none. NONE! Now there are all kinds of manly men and feisty women on Lost (Sawyer and Kate anyone?). And all those whippy jungle switches! So here's my challenge: I'd love for some of the readers here to come up with Lost spanking stories of their own. I'll post (and credit however you choose) any that you send me via email. Or if you have your own blog and would rather post your story there, send me a link and I'll link it here. Get to writin', Losties!

Super cool Mother's Day gift

My amazing and somewhat overindulgent husband bought me an iPod nano for Mother's Day! I mentioned the other day that I'd like an iPod, and he came home and suprised me with this today. So I've been downloading all of our CDs all afternoon. It holds 500 songs, and I can't wait to get it filled up. Thank you soooo much, Baby!

Sadly very very late...

Okay, way back in March Smart N Naughty tagged me for this, and somehow I missed it. And I looove getting tagged for stuff! Honestly! I'm totally cheesy - sometimes if I don't get tagged, I play along anyway. So of course when I do get tagged I completely miss it. I'm sooo sorry SNN! But I'm going to play now.

Seven things that make me mad (in no particular order):

1. People who are rude to perfect strangers on the phone. I work in customer service for a large financial institution, and nothing makes me angrier than people who call me, who they've never met or spoken to before, and take out every bit of their poor math skills, timing, judgment, breeding, etc on me. Would you talk this way to your boss, or your pastor, or your neighbor? Probably not, and the very fact that I'm a human being demands that you don't talk that way to me!

2. Reeeeeaaaalllyyy slow drivers.

3. People who think that any form of discipline (corporal or otherwise)
is bad thing for kids.

4. People who hurt kids and call it discipline.

5. Gas prices.

6. Husbands and wives who don't appreciate each other.

7. When Blogger eats my posts. (Yes, I know I'm tempting the fates here).

Seven thing that make me happy.

1. My God.

2. My family

3. Um, spanking.

4. My new ipod nano (thanks, baby!)

5. Snuggling

6. Sex, sex, sex!

7. The lake.

Seven fun things I'd like to be paid for doing.

1. Reading

2. Writing

3. Testing sex toys (although doing for free is pretty great too).

4. Taking random internet memes.

5. Sleeping

6. Watching TV

7. Testing how much is just enough of a good thing.

Hehehe...that was fun - thanks SNN!

Very Cute Spanko Tattoos

Puzzle Fun

Thanks to Bonnie for this link to a number of spanko puzzles at JigZone, including one of my very favorite pieces!

Hehehe...the rest of the story...

Last night was SO AMAZING! And to be honest, I kind of thought he might have forgotten what we'd planned. But nope! After we watched our Tuesday night favorites (House and Boston Legal), Nick looked over at Morgan and started making "Don't you look sleepy!" sounds. Of course she was no such thing, but since Mommy and Daddy had commandeered the TV for the last two hours, she was happy to spend some time with the PowerPuff Girls.

We got her set up with the TV, and I fairly skipped up the stairs with Nick close behind. In the bedroom I stripped to my panties and hopped into bed. He got down the AngelBrat paddle and joined me. He got in a few easy swats before I asked him to pretty please because I would really enjoy it start off with his hand.

Now I don't get spanked with his hand very often (excluding the hundreds of random swats I get on a daily basis just for walking by
).

And I can probably count on one hand the number of punishment spankings I've gotten with his hand (although they've all been quite effective); so for me, his hand is a very erotic implement. I wasn't disappointed last night. He pulled down my panties and spanked just right, hard enough to really feel it, but right in the sweet zone, not too high or too low.

After getting me nice and warmed up, he put his hand to work another way, stopping occasionally to stoke the fire on my bottom. Pretty soon I was starting to fly, and the Lady Elizabeth bath brush began to sound pretty good. The idea became insistent enough for me to stop and ask him to get it down. He obligingly retrieved it and concentrated on spanking for a bit. It wasn't long until I was begging for his hand back between my legs, and he added that to the spanking. It didn't take too awful much of that combination to send me soaring over the edge.

I'm not absolutely sure, but I think he may have heard Morgan moving around, and he got up and double checked the lock on the door. Either way, when he turned back to the bed I was on my knees with my nicely toasted butt thrust high. He didn't wait for the written invitation. WEG.

It was an incredibly hot and sexy night...thank you, Baby!

Woman...

The other day on Grey's Anatomy, heart patient Denny growled at his (very hot of couse) female doctor Izzy when she tried to give him some medical advice he didn't want. "You're not the boss of me today, woman!"

"See! It's not just me!" proclaimed my pretty darn hot himself husband. "Woman!" is something that Nick says to me a lot. It's never insulting or condescending. It's not said in an I-can't-bother-with-your-name kind of way. It's said in a "I am man, you are woman, and there are certain things that means!" kind of way. And it's SO. FREAKIN. SEXY. When he says that to me I get that sudden drop in my stomach that means here comes horniness! It's the same feeling I get when he calls me Young Lady or Baby Girl. I have a friend that just goes boneless when her husband calls her Shorty. And I get it. I so so so so get it.

It means he loves me, he wants me, and most of all, that he knows that I'm his. Mmmm! This woman is going to go climb in bed with her MAN!
