This is us...

A lot of us got rather a shock today on someone else's blog. I've said my say there, and I won't rehash it here, but it has spurred me to say something. This blog is NONFICTION. Here's the thing: if I'm uncomfortable putting some aspect of my life on the blog, I don't fictionalize it. I just don't post it. The only fiction here are the couple of clearly labeled stories way back in the archives. Oh, and our daughter's real name is not Morgan. We're really married and have been for nearly 8 years. I really do occasionally review products for South Coast Pleasures (thank you, Amy). We really do live in the South (although what state is privileged information).

For further info: I'm on the voluptuous side (okay, a bit zaftig), I love camping and reading, I'm 28 years old, I'm 5'10" with blue eyes and brown hair, and I'm a Christian who goes to church regularly. And I really get all the spankings I post about here!

Nick's 26 (almost 27), brown hair and blue eyes, loves cars and fishing, is also a Christian who attends church regularly, and was just barely 19 when he married me in a very small church - the same one my dad helped build and where my parents got married.

None of this really matters except that there were a lot of people left reeling and distrustful by certain disclosures today, and I want to assure you all that if I want to make something up, I'm going to label it as such. The kindness people have shown me through this blog and through email deserves respect and honesty, and I want my readers to trust that they can get that here.

Frighteningly perceptive

Remember the whole Target/spatula fiasco? Well, we went to Wal-Mart last night and Morgan said something about Nick embarrassing me in Target, which of course got him started again. So all the way through the store he’s whacking me on the butt every chance he gets. Anyway, he was off looking at something and I had Morgan with me getting laundry detergent, and she says, “Do you like it, Mommy?”

“Do I like what?”

“Do you like it when Daddy pops your butt?”

Have you ever had a four year old make you blush?

I told Nick, and he said, “Well, do you?”

Um…….sometimes.

Sodding Jokari...

Well I've been well and truly spanked. Last night Nick told me he was going to spank me before bed. The problem was that it got later and later, and I had to be at work early this morning. After some pleading on my part, he agreed to let me put it off until today, on the condition, "We're going to do it when you get home, and I do mean as soon as you get home." Last night that was a relief, but today I got to get more nervous with every passing hour, then actually drive myself home to my doom. By the time I got into the garage my stomach hurt, so when I got inside and realized that he was in the shower I could feel myself start to breathe again. All I needed was just that few minutes to get control of myself. I got on the computer and checked my email while he finished in the shower and got dressed.

Once he was dressed he took down Jokari and told me to follow him downstairs. Morgan was asleep on our bed, which was a relief to me, because I'm always afraid she'll knock on the door at an inopportune time, or, worse yet, hear something she wouldn't understand.

Downstairs in the den I found him sitting on the couch, Jokari in hand. He had me pull down my pants and bend over his knee. Once I was bending over, he pulled down my panties. It had been a while since I'd had a hard spanking, but this one was horrible. He spanked me so hard I was crying almost from the first swat, which is pretty much unheard of for me. He paddled me long and hard until I was sobbing too hard to struggle anymore. Finally he put down the paddle and told me to come up so that he could hold me.

He held me while I cried against his chest, my bottom on fire against the couch cushions. "There's my sweet girl," he murmured, rubbing my back and planting gentle kisses on my forehead. I told him how sorry I was for the attitude I've shown for the last few weeks, and he told me how sorry he was that he had to spank me.

When things were settled, I playfully mentioned that he hadn't even used his new spatula. He teasingly ordered me to go get it, but relented pretty quickly at the look of horror on my face. Tomorrow when my bottom doesn't ache so badly we're going to do some playing with it.

Afterwards we made love, and I feel renewed.

Here's the actual Evil Spatula that we got at Target. Our camera went AWOL for a few days, so I couldn't take a picture of it. When I took the picture today, I noticed the strangest thing on the tag: If you look closely, you can see that someone has written "Butt Slapper" on it. Do you think he has plans?

Why we can never go back to Target...

Yesterday we went to Target. I was innocently browsing through the clearance items when suddenly I felt lightning strike my butt. I whirled around and found Nick wearing an evil grin and holding a rather vicious silicone spatula.

"Do not buy that!" I said rather vehemently. After a bit of dancing around and squealing every time he landed a swat, I watched in relief as he put the wicked utensil back on the rack. He walked off a bit to look at some other items. And that is when the devil on my shoulder woke up. Without even meaning to, I grabbed the spatula, ran over to him, and got in one good shot.

"That's it - I'm buying it." He immediately disarmed me and began to smack my butt with the spatula until I managed to giggle and spin myself out of reach. Of course he decided to carry the silicone demon around with him for the rest of the visit. Now all of this was pretty much out of the view of the other patrons. Until, that is, we started toward the registers. That's when he decided to really try it out. He spanked me with it all the way across the front of the store, much to the hilarious delight of another couple headed the opposite way. I, of course, was mortified, but Nick seemed to find the whole episode rather amusing.

But ya know what? I think it's pretty darn amazing that we've each found the perfect person to make a fool of ourselves with.

Blitzkrieg

Sunday afternoon I was innocently laying across the bed reading while Nick was in the bathroom (directly attached to our bedroom). I heard the bathroom door open and all of a sudden felt a hard whack across my bottom. Before I could even jump, another followed, and I found myself in the clutches of a Brat Paddle wielding Nick.

Okay, I knew I was going to get spanked. I even knew it would probably be that day. Nick had mentioned earlier that I needed a good get-back-on-track-and-stay-there spanking. The thing is, I wasn't prepared for it. And that of course was his point in popping out of the bathroom like a jack in the box and applying the paddle like he was trying to put out a fire (or start one). And so, while it wasn't a particularly long spanking by our standards (maybe 75 or so swats), or even, under usual circumstances a particularly hard one, it definitely got the point across. There was no psyching myself up to it, no mentally preparing for the sting. Just, "Ow! Ow! Wait! Stop! Why are you doing this now?!" And a lot of "Hold still! You're just making it worse on yourself!"

I think he may be more of a natural at this than he lets on.

South Coast Pleasure

I've been introduced to a new-to-me adult retailer called South Coast Pleasure, and I'm really pleased with what I see there. I'm still alive, I promise!

Holy crap, It's been a while since I posted! Whatever nasty bug I got has taken it's time letting go. I was feeling pretty good by this past Monday - good enough to get the spanking I had coming anyway. Let me tell you - as an instrument of discipline, Jokari has nothing on our new bath brush! I got about a hundred swats over my jeans (not really that severe for me) and I cried for 20 minutes. Part of it, it's true, was a much needed emotional release from the stresses of the previous week, but it takes a lot to even get me to the point of tears.

Nick graciously spent a lot of his first 5-days-off period cleaning the house, which I didn't ask him to do. He doesn't expect me it do it all myself, and he knew that it would be much easier for me to maintain a clean house than to get it to that point to start with. And he's right of course. Since then I've been very diligent about straightening up every room before we go to bed at night, which has definitely needed to be done. It's easy to let things get to be a mess with a four-year-old who might, for instance, leave a paper napkin laying on the couch within easy reach of the puppy who likes to shred such things.

Anyway, the sinus infection part of whatever was wrong with me has gotten worse, and I've been battling a pretty much constant headache behind my right eye. But it seems to be a bit better this morning, so maybe I'm headed out of the woods.

Nick's really enjoying his new job, and I'm loving the fact that he's got so much time off (not just for cleaning, although that was very nice.)He suprised me Tuesday by showing up to have lunch with me at work, and it's been wonderful just knowing he's had some time to decompress. Also, my mom hasn't had to really spend much time watching Morgan, because most days last week Nick was home so she could just drop her off right after school. Thursday he called his dad, and he and Nick's stepmom agreed to watch her so we could go out to dinner together. I love having my husband home!

Ugh!

I've been home sick for the last two days. Which means that I had to use three sick days this week (counting Tuesday for Morgan). Which I'll probably hear about on my monthly review. But hey, I had the sick days available, and well, I was sick! So, I suppose they'll have to get over it.

Nick's loving his new job, but he's really tired when he gets home (leaving at 7 and getting back in at 9 will do that to you). The last couple of days have been miserable without him, because I've been too ill to do anything constructive, and time has just dragged by. I think I have the flu (or, as Nick's dad calls it, the Crud). Nothing like two days of being too sick to work, too sick too play, and too sick to sleep to drive a girl bratty...er, batty. Especially when she's in need of some serious comforting by her hard working man. BUT...enough of my pity party. I'm really grateful that Nick has this job, and even more so that he really enjoys it. I hate that he's so tired when he gets in, but after tomorrow, he'll have a nice long five days off, so he'll have a chance to recover and maybe get in some play time of his very own.

Wednesday night I was promised a "get motivated" spanking the next day, but I've been too sick for it to come up. Not, of course, that that means it's been cancelled. As soon as I recover my ability to breathe after climbing the stairs and lose the compulsion to cough every 30 seconds and vomit every three hours, I'm pretty sure that new bath brush is going to come into play. Sigh...no rest for the weary.

Happy Valentine's Day!

I'm home today with a sick baby. Morgan's "virus" turned out to be some sort of infection that's moved into her ear, and she really didn't feel like going to preschool today. Nick was able to take her to the doctor yesterday since he hadn't started the new job yet, but today he's at orientation, so I used a sick day to stay home with her. Her first Valentine's party is today, and she really wanted to go to that, so if she still wants to stay home, she's really feeling bad. It's not till this afternoon, so, since she's not contagious, I may try to stop by with her for that if she's feeling better.

I let her play in the snow for about a half hour on Sunday, so she got to make a snow man and give sledding a try. The snow man was a hit, the sledding not so much. She's not very adventurous when it comes to things like flying down a hill, but I'm glad she got to try it anyway.

Fresh snow and a new start

Well, I'm sitting here doing something unusual for me: watching the snow fall outside my window. I know, I know, it's February, and all over the country people are cursing the white stuff and wishing for July. But we just don't get that much of it, and it's still magical to me.

The crappy part here is that Morgan, who has never seen a really heavy snowfall and has been pining to make a snow man since this winter's first flurry, is down with some sort of virus. Right now she's asleep, but I dread telling her when she wakes up that she's too sick to go play in the snow. I'm not over-cautious, but she spent last night throwing up, and I'm just not going to take her out in the cold.

In other news, Nick got a new job! He's going to be working at a different dealership, and it's going to be a lot better. Because the place he's going to is so much busier than the one he's been at, he'll have a lot more time off, and make better money! I know, sounds too good to be true, but the husband of a lady in management at my job has worked there for 11 years, and he brought home twice what Nick did last year, working the same schedule Nick will be working. True, I'm sure he makes more after 11 years than Nick is starting at, but the average salary there is still about 25% more than we're used to.

This job offer came up really suddenly, and we spent a lot of time in prayer over it. Today is his last day at the old place, and he starts his new shift over there on Wednesday. To be honest, we've had it in our hearts for a year how wonderful it would be for him to get on at this particular dealership, but they never have openings, because they have such a small turnover rate. Nick's old boss at his current job got hired there about three months ago as head of the service department, and when they expanded enough to need a couple more mechanics, he reached out. God really opened a door here, and we're very grateful.

A new toy
