Beautiful Music

I'm seriously thinking about getting a tattoo sometime this year, and I want a Celtic design. I have the one I'll most likely end up with, but today I was looking online at some different knots, and I came across these lovely dulcimer hammers. Imagine the amazing marks you could end up with!

My Talk With Tiggr

Tiggr recently interviewed me for her wonderful blog A Spanking Good Time. You can read the interview here - thanks, Tiggr!

Attitude Adjusted...

For some reason, every so often, I get melancholy. Part of it I think is when money is tight, because I have a hard time putting that worry away. That's the case right now, between birthdays, a recent air-conditioner repair bill, and my sister in law's upcoming wedding, which is going to require a tux, a bridesmaid dress, and a flower girl dress out of our small budget, not to mention a wedding gift. Of course that's a joyous occasion, and one we're thrilled to be a part of, but it's a bit hard on the bank account.

Anyway, I've felt my attitude sinking lately, and today Nick had had enough. We went to get his hair cut, and after he was done he asked me to set up an appointment for myself. Now his haircuts don't cost us anything, because his stepmom is a hairstylist, and she refuses to charge us. Because it only takes about 15 minutes to cut his hair, we don't argue, but I always insist she take at least something for cutting mine, because it takes considerably longer, and she could be doing full paying customers during the time she spends on me. I balked at setting up an appointment for myself, because I felt like we had more important things to spend our money on than my hair. I didn't spell out my reasons in front of his stepmom, but I did argue with him that I didn't need a cut.

When we got home he got out the evil fish paddle. It's been a while since I've been spanked with it, ironically enough because it's his favorite implement. There's a small crack in it, and he hasn't wanted to break it. However, fortunately or not, it doesn't require much force at all to hurt like hell, especially on a bare bottom. And so, despite my very reasonable attempts to talk him out of it, he yanked down my jeans and panties and blistered my bottom until I was sobbing, begging, and promising to be a beam of submissive sunshine forever more.

When he felt like my attitude had been sufficiently adjusted he put down the paddle and held me until I cried myself out. When my tears had dried, his hands began exploring, and we started to reconnect. My sexual needs for spanking are always strongest after a punishment has been meted out and an issue resolved, and I asked him to use his hand on me. He spanked me long and hard with his hand, much harder than with the paddle, but I barely felt it, and it wasn't longer before I was flying.

All in all I feel much better.

An Unexpected Horror

Gratitude Tuesday will resume next week. Today I just want to take a moment to remember those affected by yesterday's horror at Virginia Tech. My prayers go up for those injured and for the families of those lost in an unspeakable tragedy.

Time Off...

I'm on vacation this week - hooray! I'm taking off yesterday through the 24th, which is Nick and Morgan's birthday. My baby will be six, and my other baby will be 28. We don't have any big plans other than perhaps a cookout if all this rain finally moves out, and a small party for Morgan at school. However, Nick and I are really looking forward to some time alone together. He's off through Thursday of this week, and we're going to take advantage of the hours Morgan will be in school to spend some husband and wife time. It will be wonderful to have some time together, and I'm very much looking forward to getting his birthday spanking!

Gratitude Tuesday - Z

It's the big finale! Gratitude Tuesday Z!

Zippers - Can't argue with this one. Zippers are handy things indeed!

Zeppelin - as in Led Zeppelin. Not everyone's a fan, but I've always liked them.

Zebras - Hard to not like an animal that goes with everything!

Zaftig - a lovely adjective in my opinion, and one that fits me well.

Zero - There's something comforting about such an absolute starting point.

Zoo - I've always loved the zoo, and I need to take Morgan back sometime soon.

Zoophabets - by Robert Tallon. It was my favorite book from the school library when I was little. When my old school retired some well worn books a few years ago I bought it, complete with an old library card bearing the signature of a five-year old me.

Happy Gratitude Tuesday!

Lovely, lovely...

I haven't forgotten about Gratitude Tuesday - I just had a bit on my mind that day.

I promise to make it up next week.

Last night was lovely indeed. There was spanking, there was sex, there were orgasms. I ♥ my husband!

So here's what happened...

Okay, I really did do something stupid. Stupid and dangerous. Not intentional, but stupid and dangerous just the same. Okay, here's what happened...

Last Monday I fixed dinner, which involved browning some ground beef. Dinner, by the way was very tasty, but that's irrelevant. Anyway, this past Sunday morning (six days later), I went to church by myself because Nick and Morgan overslept. While I was at church Nick got up and started straightening up a bit. He was cleaning off the stove, and there was a large glass bowl that had been left sitting on the back eye. When he went to move it, he burned his hand. Apparently when I finished cooking, I hadn't gotten the eye turned all the way off, and it had been turned on low for six days. The rest of the week dinner had either been eaten out, grilled, or baked, and I'd had no reason to use the stovetop since. I was absolutely sick when he told me about it. Obviously I would never have left the stove on on purpose, and it made me weak to think of what could've happened. Thank God it was a glass bowl on it and not something flammable.

That night when we went to bed he told me he was going to spank me when he got home from work the next day. To be honest, if he hadn't decided to do it on his own, I very probably would've asked him to. I was feeling pretty guilty.

All day Monday I thought about what was going to happen, and by the time I got home I was - well, maybe not ready, but at least determined to take what I had coming. I hadn't been paddled in a while, and I knew it would be awful no matter what, but I knew I deserved it and I was determined to be obedient about it. When Nick got home I had Morgan down for a nap and dinner in the oven. However, just as he started to get unwound from the day, a buddy of his called needing his help, and he had to leave for a bit. By the time he got back, Morgan was up and dinner was getting cold. We heated up dinner and ate, then Morgan needed some play time with us, and before we knew it it was past bedtime.

I told Nick I was going upstairs to bed, knowing that if he was going to do it, it would be then. Sure enough, he followed me up within a few minutes, but parenting being what it is, just as he was looking for an implement, Morgan decided that cartoons weren't nearly as interesting as whatever Mom and Dad were up to, and she decided to join us. It was pretty late anyway, so Nick decided to postpone it. He promised me that it was definitely going to happen when he got home the next night. It was both a frustration and a relief to er, put it on the back burner for the night.

And so yesterday I found myself once again spending the day thinking about the spanking I was going to get and vacillating between wanting to keep putting it off and wanting it over already! By the time the day was done all my nerve had fled, to the point that I actually called Nick and asked if, instead of giving me a spanking, he could make me write an essay about what I'd done wrong and why it was so serious. That went over like a lead balloon because, well, I generally like to write. To be fair though, I told myself that if he agreed to the essay, but in addition to the spanking, I'd take both without arguing.

He brought dinner home with him, and he decided we would eat before he spanked me. While we were eating, it was storming out, and the lights went out for a minute. This sort of thing totally freaks Morgan out, even though they came right back on. So when we were finished eating, Nick turned on her favorite cartoon, got her a flashlight, and spent ten minutes reassuring her that the storm had passed, the lights were going to stay on, and that if by some freak occurrence they didn't, she had the flashlight.

Then he took me upstairs. I lay on the bed, and he got out Jokari and told me to pull down my pants. I lowered my jeans, and he pulled my panties down too. He spent some time lecturing me about the awful things that my carelessness could've caused, and told me I was going to get 100 swats. Because he paused after every twenty or so swats, the spanking wasn't as bad as it could've been, but it was still awful. He was mindful of the fact that it had been a while since I'd been paddled, but even so, as always, the last ten swats were hard enough to make me gasp.

When it was done he cuddled me a bit, told me he was sorry he'd had to spank me, apologized that I'd had to wait, and assured me the if it ever happens again the spanking I'll get will make this one look like a warm-up. I told him how very sorry I was that I'd screwed up in such a potentially disastrous way, and promised him that it would never ever happen again. My bottom was a bit blistered, and I asked him if he would rub it for me. He did, briefly, followed by a few good hard smacks with his hand. By that point I was feeling better, loved, disciplined, and forgiven, and his hand felt just right. I snuggled closer and asked him to keep going. He started spanking me again.

I'd love to tell you that this continued for half an hour, followed by torrid lovemaking. Unfortunately, Morgan decided just then that she'd had absolutely enough of this being left downstairs when the lights could just go off willy-nilly, and she let out a mournful wail. With a sigh Nick went down to check on her and left me to pull up my panties. By the time I got them up and got under the covers, Morgan came bounding up the stairs and jumped into bed with me. Nick locked the doors and turned out the lights and came up too. Our attention reclaimed, Morgan was sweet, loving and snuggly, and Nick and I locked hungry eyes over her head.

Tonight. Definitely tonight...

Eeep!

I'm getting spanked when Nick gets home. I did something stupid. I'm going to go take a nap - I can't stand this waiting.

Startle

I work in customer service for a large financial institution. Yesterday a man called for information on his account. I asked him for his password as verification. He hesitated, then said, "You mean my safe word?"

Um, no.

Gratitude Tuesday - Y

It's Gratitude Tuesday again! Today we celebrate Y:

You - All of you guys! You make blogging fun! Thank YOU!

Yellow - A lovely color that always makes me feel sunny!

Yelling in the car - sometimes the quickest way to get the frustration out after a rough day at work! (I just make sure I'm alone when I do it!)

Yesterday - No matter how bad the day has been, it's nice to know that in 23 hours, 59 minutes or less, it will be yesterday.

Youth - As they say, you're as young as you feel, and as I rapidly approach 30, I'm clinging firmly to a feeling of 19!

Yogurt - Yummy!

Yogurt-covered raisins - Yummier!

"Young Lady" - Oooo, it gives me shivers!

Yes - Sometimes, the absolute best thing to hear.

Yet - A very nice word, whether it represents a goal to work toward or a catastrophe so far avoided.

Happy Gratitude Tuesday!

A Beautiful Evening

Morgan was baptized this evening. It was a beautiful ceremony, and a joyous occasion for all of us. Extended family on both sides were present, and Morgan's teacher came too. Morgan did so well - she was worried that she'd forget what to do and say, especially since she's very shy in front of crowds. But when the minister asked her if she'd made a decision to ask Jesus into her heart to be her Saviour, she gave a very firm nod yes, and she remembered to hold her nose when she went under. We were so proud of her! She's such an amazing, sweet girl, and we're so very blessed to be her parents - God was very, very good to us when He gave her to us!

I see these stickers on cars all the time. In fact we got a PCB one when we went to Panama City Beach. This one I made at imagechef.com.

Happy (late) Blogaversary to Me!

AngelBrat's Blog is two years old! Okay, seriously - I am so lame that I was late for my own blogaversary. My first post was actually March 13, 2005, and I was under the impression the big day was the 19th. (And I've even been going back through the archives lately!) Ah well...

The past couple of years have been wonderful ones for me, and late or not, I feel like it deserves a mention. I've met such wonderful people on here, friends I truly treasure, and I've had so many wonderful memories made in my marriage. I want to say a huge thank you to each of you who have taken the time to stop by, whether you commented often, just once, or just took the time to read - you all make blogging such a sweet and fun experience, and you're all very special to me!

Love you guys!

An Evening Alone

Well, we finally got to try out those new crops...

Morgan spent the night with my mom last night, and we had the house all to ourselves. When we got in bed we did some fooling around, and then got out the toys. Nick, it turns out, has a nasty penchant for smacking thighs and other especially tender bits when using these crops.

The pink heart one is pretty lightweight, but the shiny surface is very stingy. It definitely had me jumping and squealing. The pitchfork, however, is made of sterner stuff. It's definitely heavier, and the prongs gave it a bite that made me sit up and take notice. After the spanking we went on to other pleasurable pursuits...

It was a very nice evening, and I was glad to have the time alone together. I was surprised to find marks on my bottom this morning. Of course they were in the spots that got spanked pretty raw in the big "let's try them all" spanking I got a couple of weeks ago, so it could be that I'm just especially markable there these days. WEG.

For clearance toys, I'm very happy with them...
