The Picture of Evil...

Here's the actual Evil Spatula that we got at Target. Our camera went AWOL for a few days, so I couldn't take a picture of it. When I took the picture today, I noticed the strangest thing on the tag: If you look closely, you can see that someone has written "Butt Slapper" on it. Do you think he has plans?

Why we can never go back to Target...

Yesterday we went to Target. I was innocently browsing through the clearance items when suddenly I felt lightning strike my butt. I whirled around and found Nick wearing an evil grin and holding a rather vicious silicone spatula.

"Do not buy that!" I said rather vehemently. After a bit of dancing around and squealing every time he landed a swat, I watched in relief as he put the wicked utensil back on the rack. He walked off a bit to look at some other items. And that is when the devil on my shoulder woke up. Without even meaning to, I grabbed the spatula, ran over to him, and got in one good shot.

"That's it - I'm buying it." He immediately disarmed me and began to smack my butt with the spatula until I managed to giggle and spin myself out of reach. Of course he decided to carry the silicone demon around with him for the rest of the visit. Now all of this was pretty much out of the view of the other patrons. Until, that is, we started toward the registers. That's when he decided to really try it out. He spanked me with it all the way across the front of the store, much to the hilarious delight of another couple headed the opposite way. I, of course, was mortified, but Nick seemed to find the whole episode rather amusing.

But ya know what? I think it's pretty darn amazing that we've each found the perfect person to make a fool of ourselves with.

New Link...

Two things I've been meaning to do lately: put up a link to A Spanked Minxy Wife and learn a bit about HTML. So when I checked her blog and found this post, it seemed like fate. Sooo, I Googled HTML and found this helpful page, which allowed me to do some cool basic things like center the title and description of this blog, as well as put a permanent copy of my motivational poster below the body of my posts. So, go check out Spankedminx, and maybe even learn a bit about HTML!

Truth in Advertising...

I was playing around with this Advertising Slogan Generator, where you enter a word, and it plugs it into hundreds of well known slogans. Some of the ones it came up with made me laugh out loud (click on the list for a better view):

Blitzkrieg

Sunday afternoon I was innocently laying across the bed reading while Nick was in the bathroom (directly attached to our bedroom). I heard the bathroom door open and all of a sudden felt a hard whack across my bottom. Before I could even jump, another followed, and I found myself in the clutches of a Brat Paddle wielding Nick.

Okay, I knew I was going to get spanked. I even knew it would probably be that day. Nick had mentioned earlier that I needed a good get-back-on-track-and-stay-there spanking. The thing is, I wasn't prepared for it. And that of course was his point in popping out of the bathroom like a jack in the box and applying the paddle like he was trying to put out a fire (or start one). And so, while it wasn't a particularly long spanking by our standards (maybe 75 or so swats), or even, under usual circumstances a particularly hard one, it definitely got the point across. There was no psyching myself up to it, no mentally preparing for the sting. Just, "Ow! Ow! Wait! Stop! Why are you doing this now?!" And a lot of "Hold still! You're just making it worse on yourself!"

I think he may be more of a natural at this than he lets on.

Updated Links

I've updated my links and gotten rid of a few that were defunct or sadly inactive (one since last May!). I've also added the link to the new Aunty Agony, as well as SmartNNaughty's new blog, My Spanko Diary. Plus we have a new blogroll member in A Guy, A Blog.

South Coast Pleasure

I've been introduced to a new-to-me adult retailer called South Coast Pleasure, and I'm really pleased with what I see there. They've recently added a new bondage section with some very interesting looking toys. I've been fascinated lately with the idea of being bound for a spanking - or just for some good old (er, somewhat) vanilla sex, and I've got my eye on their Sports Cuffs and Thigh Cuffs. I've had the pleasure of exchanging a few emails with the owner, and this is a section with tremendous potential for growth. South Coast is licensed to carry products from a number of BDSM retailers, including Sportsheets and Allure Leather. Plus they've got a huge selection of vibrators, including the infamous Jack Rabbit. Next time I replace my own vibrator, that's the one I'm going for. They've even got a rechargeable version. WEG. No more fumbling in the bed table drawer for batteries.

This shop is woman owned and operated, and they've got a very tasteful setup. Beyond the wide range of products offered, the site also has an education resource section, educational DVDs, and a number of great articles. I've added a permanent link to the shop on the right, or of course you can follow one of the links above. Go check it out ladies!

I'm still alive, I promise!

Holy crap, It's been a while since I posted! Whatever nasty bug I got has taken it's time letting go. I was feeling pretty good by this past Monday - good enough to get the spanking I had coming anyway. Let me tell you - as an instrument of discipline, Jokari has nothing on our new bath brush! I got about a hundred swats over my jeans (not really that severe for me) and I cried for 20 minutes. Part of it, it's true, was a much needed emotional release from the stresses of the previous week, but it takes a lot to even get me to the point of tears.

Nick graciously spent a lot of his first 5-days-off period cleaning the house, which I didn't ask him to do. He doesn't expect me it do it all myself, and he knew that it would be much easier for me to maintain a clean house than to get it to that point to start with. And he's right of course. Since then I've been very diligent about straightening up every room before we go to bed at night, which has definitely needed to be done. It's easy to let things get to be a mess with a four-year-old who might, for instance, leave a paper napkin laying on the couch within easy reach of the puppy who likes to shred such things.

Anyway, the sinus infection part of whatever was wrong with me has gotten worse, and I've been battling a pretty much constant headache behind my right eye. But it seems to be a bit better this morning, so maybe I'm headed out of the woods.

Nick's really enjoying his new job, and I'm loving the fact that he's got so much time off (not just for cleaning, although that was very nice.)
He suprised me Tuesday by showing up to have lunch with me at work, and it's been wonderful just knowing he's had some time to decompress. Also, my mom hasn't had to really spend much time watching Morgan, because most days last week Nick was home so she could just drop her off right after school. Thursday he called his dad, and he and Nick's stepmom agreed to watch her so we could go out to dinner together. I love having my husband home!

Ugh!

I've been home sick for the last two days. Which means that I had to use three sick days this week (counting Tuesday for Morgan). Which I'll probably hear about on my monthly review. But hey, I had the sick days available, and well, I was sick! So, I suppose they'll have to get over it.

Nick's loving his new job, but he's really tired when he gets home (leaving at 7 and getting back in at 9 will do that to you). The last couple of days have been miserable without him, because I've been too ill to do anything constructive, and time has just dragged by. I think I have the flu (or, as Nick's dad calls it, the Crud). Nothing like two days of being too sick to work, too sick too play, and too sick to sleep to drive a girl bratty...er, batty. Especially when she's in need of some serious comforting by her hard working man. BUT...enough of my pity party. I'm really grateful that Nick has this job, and even more so that he really enjoys it. I hate that he's so tired when he gets in, but after tomorrow, he'll have a nice long five days off, so he'll have a chance to recover and maybe get in some play time of his very own.

Wednesday night I was promised a "get motivated" spanking the next day, but I've been too sick for it to come up. Not, of course, that that means it's been cancelled. As soon as I recover my ability to breathe after climbing the stairs and lose the compulsion to cough every 30 seconds a
nd vomit every three hours, I'm pretty sure that new bath brush is going to come into play. Sigh...no rest for the weary.

Happy Valentine's Day!

I'm home today with a sick baby. Morgan's "virus" turned out to be some sort of infection that's moved into her ear, and she really didn't feel like going to preschool today. Nick was able to take her to the doctor yesterday since he hadn't started the new job yet, but today he's at orientation, so I used a sick day to stay home with her. Her first Valentine's party is today, and she really wanted to go to that, so if she still wants to stay home, she's really feeling bad. It's not till this afternoon, so, since she's not contagious, I may try to stop by with her for that if she's feeling better.

I let her play in the snow for about a half hour on Sunday, so she got to make a snow man and give sledding a try. The snow man was a hit, the sledding not so much. She's not very adventurous when it comes to things like flying down a hill, but I'm glad she got to try it anyway.

Well, I'm off here to go snuggle my little patient. Happy Valentine's Day!

Fresh snow and a new start

Well, I'm sitting here doing something unusual for me: watching the snow fall outside my window. I know, I know, it's February, and all over the country people are cursing the white stuff and wishing for July. But we just don't get that much of it, and it's still magical to me.

The crappy part here is that Morgan, who has never seen a really heavy snowfall and has been pining to make a snow man since this winter's first flurry, is down with some sort of virus. Right now she's asleep, but I dread telling her when she wakes up that she's too sick to go play in the snow. I'm not over-cautious, but she spent last night throwing up, and I'm just not going to take her out in the cold.

In other news, Nick got a new job! He's going to be working at a different dealership, and it's going to be a lot better. Because the place he's going to is so much busier than the one he's been at, he'll have a lot more time off, and make better money! I know, sounds too good to be true, but the husband of a lady in management at my job has worked there for 11 years, and he brought home twice what Nick did last year, working the same schedule Nick will be working. True, I'm sure he makes more after 11 years than Nick is starting at, but the average salary there is still about 25% more than we're used to.

This job offer came up really suddenly, and we spent a lot of time in prayer over it. Today is his last day at the old place, and he starts his new shift over there on Wednesday. To be honest, we've had it in our hearts for a year how wonderful it would be for him to get on at this particular dealership, but they never have openings, because they have such a small turnover rate. Nick's old boss at his current job got hired there about three months ago as head of the service department, and when they expanded enough to need a couple more mechanics, he reached out. God really opened a door here, and we're very grateful.

A new toy

I got this gorgeous new bathbrush the other day. We haven't had a chance to try it out yet, but isn't it pretty?

Lookee what I got!

John from Leather Thorn sent us this amazing new version of his popular Brat paddle. He's changed the handle, and I think it looks fantastic! Fortunately, Nick was kind enough to take my very sore bottom into account, so I only got a few swats with it tonight, although I know it's going to see a lot more action before long. It's a shorter version of the AngelBrat paddle John did for us for Christmas, a bit lighter and a lot more playful. This one is going to be perfect for packing on those trips to the mountains, or just for everyday play. Thank you, John!

Go on, guys, go on over and pick one out!

Resolution

Boy oh boy did I get spanked! By the time Nick got home Saturday night, it was after 10, and since he'd been going since before 6 that morning, it made sense to wait. It made sense, but it was still hard.

Anyway, Sunday evening, he left to go grab us some dinner, and before he left, he said, "Be ready, because when I get back you're getting a whipping." I knew that I needed him to be thorough, so, before I lost my nerve, I went upstairs and laid out the short bath brush, the Cracker Barrel paddle, and the AngelBrat paddle from Leather Thorn.

He came back shortly, and we all ate. Then I turned Morgan on some rather loud cartoons and went upstairs to wait on him. When he came up, he approved of the choices I'd laid out on the bed and had me take off my jeans and turn onto my stomach. I was determined not to argue, so I did as I was told, and braced myself for it to start. A bit to my surprise, he started off with his hand over my panties, but it was hard right from the start. After a minute or so, he pulled down my panties and continued with his hand for a bit, then picked up the Cracker Barrel paddle. It had been a while since I'd been spanked with it, and it always takes my breath away how much it hurts. It's such an innocuous looking paddle, but it burns like nothing else I've ever felt. He paddled me until he could feel me losing control, then switched back to his hand for a few minutes.

Then he picked up the leather paddle. This was absolutely one of the hardest spankings I've ever had. He spanked me with the leather paddle for what felt like forever, although in reality it was probably a hundred licks or so. What was different is that every single swat was very hard. Finally, he put it down and picked up the bath brush.

The bath brush is pure evil. It lands in such a concentrated area that it feels like being branded. He spanked just as hard with it, and finally I couldn't help myself and jerked out of place. He turned me back over and gave me another dozen or so to finish up. By the time he was done, the count was somewhere near 500, and I was throbbing, exhausted, and exactly where I needed to be.

He held me and began to rub my aching bottom until the heat I felt there began to spread between my legs. I snuggled closer, and he took me over the edge, then pulled me up to take what was his.

Today I was incredibly sore. Every time I shifted in my seat, every time I brushed against something, I could feel how much he loves me. Thank you, darling. You take such good care of me.

Ready

Nick's off four wheeling in Kentucky today. An old friend called him up, and he jumped at the chance to reconnect and get muddy at the same time. I miss him, but I'm glad he's getting to do something he enjoys and doesn't get much opportunity for. I understand that's it's important in any relationship to take time out away from each other. Sometimes I need it myself.

Last night I wasn't feeling so settled. I don't know what the real issue was, other than that it's been kind of a crappy week, and it's been a very long time since I've had a hard, emotionally satisfying spanking. Work has been more stressful than usual. More than that, I had applied for a job in a different department. I kept telling myself that getting it wasn't that big of a deal, but yesterday when I got my official "We went with someone else" email, it hit me harder than I had expected, especially since a friend in the department had already let me know that they kind of already had someone in mind.

Finding out that Nick was going out of state today and leaving me home to fend for myself was just the icing on the cake. I spent all evening yesterday just unbearably sad, randomly tearing up and trying to pretend that I wasn't crying. Honestly, it wasn't the fact that he was taking this trip today. I'm glad for him to get some time with the guys. But I've been feeling a bit useless lately, and getting confirmation on being passed over for the job pushed me to a place where I needed some serious cheerleading by my best friend - the guy who decided take a day trip without me. It just turns out to be bad timing - he'd not been in touch with this particular friend for months before yesterday, and he had no way of knowing that I was feeling particularly needy.

Last night it became clear enough when his offer to spend some time cuddling turned into me sobbing in his arms for half an hour over 75 tiny things that added up to some pretty low feelings for me. He kissed and comforted and decided quickly enough that the need had arisen for a serious spanking. Fortunately he was also wise enough to realize that I was too fragile emotionally to handle it right then, so we connected a different way.

I went to sleep feeling much better, and when he gets home he'll take care of the spanking. I admit, I'm relieved. It will be long, it will be hard, it will hurt like hell. But it will also be exactly what I need. I just need to be brought back from the edge.

Only the best for our flies...

Hey, everyone! We're back, and we had a lovely time. It was so great to just get away and have a few days to drift. We ended up getting a better cabin than we started with, because there was some issue with the hot tub in the first. So they upgraded us to a bigger, nicer one with a pool table and a better view.

We went to an Orvis store while we were out. In case you don't know what Orvis is (I didn't), it's an apparently very high end outdoors/fly fishing shop. I found the leather fly swatter pictured above, and fell in love with it. I was determined to get it, until I found out it would cost us $59.00!
Who the heck pays sixty bucks for something to squash flies with? Of course we wouldn't have been killing any flies with it. WEG. But still!

Morgan had a blast and Nick and I got some nice Mommy and Daddy time. It's definitely something we want to do again.

Off to the mountains...

Nick, Morgan and I are headed out for a weekend trip to a cabin in the mountains. This is something we've been promising ourselves forever, so when my company came up with a special price for its employees, we decided to go for it. Sooo...things will be quiet here for the next couple of days. Happy spanking!
