A Rant...

What is it with people?!!! As I mentioned previously, my car is a huge pile of poop and is not running right now. Nick is a mechanic at a new car dealership, and he can fix it if it can be fixed at all. It's just finding the opportunity to do so. We got it running long enough to drive it down to his work the other day (better tools and equipment there), and he's been working on it when he has a free moment. He called me yesterday to tell me that when he pulled it into the shop to look at it, he found half the dashboard laying in the seat and my CD player missing.

Somebody tell me why, out of all of the new cars and trade-ins in better shape than mine on the whole freakin car lot, someone broke into my foreign turd and stole my cheap (but only) radio! It's not so much the loss of property that burns me, but the sense of violation. The CD player was a display model we picked up for $40 about 4 years ago, and the dealership may buy us a new one anyway since it happened on their property, but I'd sure like to know who took it.

So if anyone spots a car boasting a much used JVC AM/FM CD player with a faceplate that no longer lights up, please tell them what a crappy person they are. And don't forget to mention that the CD player they stole was worth a fraction of the speakerbox in the back that they didn't bother to take!
