A hobby

I've been interested in origami for years. I think there are some really beautiful creations out there, although most of the models I fold are just plain fun. A few months ago when we went to Texas I bought a book and some paper and got a little more serious about the hobby. Lately I've been playing at work. Nope, that's not what they pay me for - I throw it in for free! Recently I've become obsessed with tiny clothing, and I'm kind of tickled with how my efforts have turned out!

This one started as a prom night theme...

And turned into a whole wedding party!

I love those! They're so cute! Okay, I'm in cute overload now and I want an Origami book. Is it difficult?

Oh my goodness that's amazing!! Is there a book out there somewhere that specifically deals with clothes? I would SO love to teach the little one in our family to to that.

Thank you, everyone! Most of the clothing designs I got from this website, which is in Japanese, but the diagrams are pretty easy to follow, and they're free! I'm always awkward at first, but it gets easier with practice, and some of the models are really easy to start with. I got the flower for the wedding party from a book I picked up at Hobby Lobby, but I'm afraid I don't remember the name and I've left it at work. I great way to get started is to buy a Fold-A-Day Origami Calendar (you can get them at Amazon.com). It gives you 365 easy designs, plus the paper to fold them from!

By the way, the whole wedding party was made from 3 sheets of paper - one black, one white, and one peach. :)

If you didn't tell us that it was origami, I would've thought it was dolls clothes! Excellent work.
Thanks for sharing.
